Fun weekend events in the Tennessee Valley

TENNESSEE VALLEY (WAFF) -

There are several education and fun events you can attend, and even take the kids to, in the Tennessee Valley this weekend!

Here are few you might want to check out as we start to get closer to fall this weekend:

  • Mars Hill Bible School is hosting "An Evening With Ebola Survivor Dr. Kent Brantly" on Saturday night at the Florence Coliseum at 6:30 p.m. You can get more information on that event here.
  • The Lyons Family Farms in Taft, TN opens on Saturday. Find out more about all the activities and special events offered at the farm here.
  • Eva Frontier Days will be from Saturday, Sept. 19 to Sept. 26. The event is in memory of Phillis Nelson. Check out their Facebook page here for more information. 
  • The Sparkman Arts Festival will be Saturday from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. at Sparkman High School. The event will showcase artists, authors, and musicians, and there will be food trucks available as well. You can see their Facebook page here.
  • The North East Alabama Crafters Association annual Fall Craft Show will be Friday through Sunday at the Von Braun Center. Click here for times and more details.
