LOOK AHEAD: Warmer temperatures for your weekend ahead of weak cold front

(WAFF) -

Warmer temps, weak cold front approaching

Skies are mainly clear for your Thursday morning, with temperatures will warm quickly with readings near 80° by lunchtime. Afternoon highs should top out in the mid-80s, which is normal for this time of year. Expect clear skies this evening, causing a quick cool down after sunset, but lows are likely to be a degree or two warmer than this morning on Friday.

Another mostly sunny afternoon can be expected as highs on Friday should push into the upper 80s.

Saturday looks to be the hottest day of the upcoming week, with highs topping out near 90 with mostly sunny skies.

As a cold front pushes into the Valley on Sunday, there will be limited moisture with this front, so you won’t see much rain in the forecast. An isolated shower may develop Sunday afternoon.

For the first half of the next work week, we’ll have a low chance for rain each day. With the additional cloud cover and rain chance, highs next week will be cooler than this weekend, as most afternoons will only top out in the lower 80s. Lows next week should be similar to Thursday morning’s, with lows in the upper 50s and lower 60s.
