LOOK AHEAD: Tuesday temps reaching into lower 80s, clear & sunny skies

(WAFF) -

Tuesday forecast: Clear & sunny

There could be a few foggy spots Tuesday morning, but any fog won’t be too widespread and lifting by 9. Skies will be sunny otherwise and not as chilly as it was yesterday morning, with most of us are starting the day in the low-to-mid 50s.

Most will warm up quickly into the mid-to-upper 70s by lunchtime. Highs this afternoon will top out in the lower 80s. You can expect clear skies this evening with another quick cool down. But, like last night, this one is likely to be a couple degrees warmer than the one before. Most of us will wake up to upper 50s tomorrow.

Another mostly sunny day is on tap for Wednesday with the trend of progressively warmer weather continuing with highs hitting the mid-80s. Nights will also be a couple degrees warmer, with lows staying in the 60s.

The warmer weather continues to build as we head towards the weekend. Look for highs in the mid 80s Thursday with Friday's highs reaching the upper 80s. We stay dry to finish the work week, but there will be a chance for showers late in the weekend. Saturday will be rain free with highs into the upper 80s, but we could see a stray shower pop up Sunday afternoon. There’s a higher chance for rain as we begin the next work week.

    Saturday, March 25 2017 5:50 PM EDT2017-03-25 21:50:37 GMT

Showers and storms will be ongoing across the Valley this evening. The most widespread rain will be over northeastern AL, but additional scattered storms will track into the Shoals from the west. That round of stormy weather will head east with time and should be out of the Valley after midnight. The threat for severe storms is low, but a few strong storms are possible.
