(WAFF) - Alabama came away with a 37-10 win over Middle Tennessee Saturday, but had a few issues with their opponent. The run defense for MTSU held Derrick Henry to just 30 yards on 10 carries in the first half. Jake Coker had an interception, along with the offense in neutral.
Still, a win's a win, as the Tide improve to 2-0.
"You know we probably shot ourselves in the foot a couple of times, but I like where this team is headed right now,"
said center Ryan Kelly. "Especially as an offense moving forward. We have a lot of threats, a lot of younger guys got to play today, and you obviously see some of the talent that we have."
"You know if you don't have the right intensity, and the right focus, you know, you're going to get exposed,"
Nick Saban said after the game. "These teams that you play are all good enough to expose you if you don't have the right focus and intensity to go out there and execute and do the job and finish."
Alabama prepares for Ole Miss Saturday night at Bryant-Denny Stadium.
