Early morning search for gunman; New poll numbers

Good Monday morning! We're "laboring" away on this Labor Day in the WAFF 48 newsroom.

Hopefully you've got the day off because you can see from this snapshot from our WAFF 48 Weather app, it's shaping up to be the perfect day for your end-of-summer BBQs! As for the rest of the week? Meteorologist David Ernst is working on a cooler forecast for you in your Weather on the Tens.

On the news side of things, Jonathan Radford has the latest on the hunt for an accused killer this morning. Right now, police in Fayetteville, Tennessee are looking for the man who they say gunned down a 19 year old early Sunday morning.

And a new NBC poll is giving top candidates something to worry about...especially Hillary Clinton. We'll have the latest rundown on the presidential race for you at 6:07 on WAFF 48 News Today.

Margo Gray is off this morning, so I'm on the anchor desk with Trent! Don't forget, if you're not near a TV, you can always watch us online, waff.com. We hit the air at 4:30!
