Lanier ready to face Cincinnati offensive line

(WAFF) -

The Alabama A&M defense appears to be a strength coming into the season.

That unit will be tested along with the offense when they travel to face Cincinnati.

The Bulldogs have a player that looks the part of a FBS defender. That guy, 6-6, 265 pound defensive end Anthony Lanier.

His Head Coach, James Spady, is also excited to see how his defender holds up Saturday.
"He's had a great training camp. And folks are excited about him and what he can bring to the table, and me included. So I can't wait to see how he reacts when Cincinnati trots out there with those big 6-6 tackles," said Spady.

"That's going to happen whether he likes it or not, It's going to be interesting to watch. I think he will rise to the occasion, and that's what I'm looking forward to."
The Bulldogs and Bearcats kickoff at 6PM CT Saturday.
