Johnson, Tigers offense ready to face Louisville defense

(WAFF) -

“We really do have a very, very strong defensive front.”

Those are the words from Louisville Head Coach Bobby Petrino earlier this year.

That's saying something considering the Cardinals lost six NFL Draft picks off the sixth ranked defense.

Auburn will try and have some success against the unit Saturday inside the Georgia Dome, and will give some special attention to Devonte Fields.

Fields, who played at TCU two seasons ago, was the Big 12 Defensive player of the year.

Auburn quarterback Jeremy Johnson understands the challenge, but is ready to go.

"They got a great defensive line, and a great line backing corps," said Johnson. "The secondary is pretty much new. But my biggest concern... I really don’t have a concern, I'm just ready to play."
