LOOK AHEAD: Warmer Wednesday with plenty of sunshine in the forecast

(WAFF) - Slightly warmer Wednesday

Temperatures will be a few degrees warmer Wednesday morning compared to Tuesday. Fog won't be as widespread but there could still be a few foggy spots, especially in valleys. The day will start out in the mid-60s, nearing 70 with high, thin clouds will streaming into the Valley, so plenty of sunshine can be expected into the afternoon.

Wednesday will warm up quickly, reaching the mid-80s around lunchtime with highs around 90° by the afternoon, with the heat index should topping at 95°. Most will stay rain free, but an isolated late day shower is not completely out of the question. Wednesday evening should remain quiet with temperatures falling through the 80s.

We'll bottom out around 70° once again for Thursday morning. Thursday will be similar to Wednesday with a mix of sun and clouds and a very low chance for an afternoon rain shower.  Highs will be into the lower 90s with a heat index of 95-100.

Friday will also be warm and muggy with an isolated late day storm. A weak "backdoor" cold front still looks to move in from the east Saturday afternoon.  Although Saturday may not be as hot as Friday, it will still be muggy and uncomfortable. Scattered showers and storms should develop along the front late Saturday. Sunday's weather should be somewhat unsettled as well with scattered showers and highs in the mid-to-upper-80s.
