LOOK AHEAD: Typical August weather back in the forecast

(WAFF) - Typical August weather back in the forecast

It's not as cool this morning as it was earlier in the week, with many of us waking up to lower and middle-60s, but some will be as cool as the upper-50s. Expect plenty of sunshine this morning with temperatures warming up quickly into the low-to-mid 80s by lunchtime with highs closer to 90. The humidity will be a bit higher today, so it may feel more uncomfortable this afternoon than it has. Additional clouds will develop as we heat up today, but we should stay rain free. Temperatures will drop into the 70s this evening, and lows should be in the upper 60s Saturday morning

A mix of sun and clouds can be expected Saturday afternoon with isolated thunderstorms developing and highs in the upper-80s. Any storms should fade away after sunset and lows will drop to near 70° under partly cloudy skies. Scattered storms are expected Sunday afternoon with highs again in the upper-80s.

Storm coverage should be lower Monday afternoon so it will likely be a warmer day. Highs will be around 90 with a heat index in the mid 90s. Isolated storms could still develop for the first few afternoons of the new work week. With the more typical August humidity back, lows will stay close to 70° most of next week with highs around 90°.
