(WAFF) - Another cool, mild morning
Cool once again this morning with lows in the mid-to-upper 50s. As it has been the last few days, plenty of sunshine is in store for Thursday and temperatures will warm quickly, topping out into the mid-80s. Winds won't be quite as breezy today and speeds should stay below 10 mph. A few more clouds will develop as we heat up, but no rain is expected this afternoon. The current weather pattern will be changing soon and showers are in the forecast by the weekend.
In the short-term, this morning is likely the last one in the mid-50s for a while, with most of the area starting out in the low-to-mid 60s beginning Friday. The afternoon hours should be warmer as well with highs closer to 90, with a mix of sun and clouds, but should stay rain free. The humidity returns by Saturday, and so does the chance for isolated showers and storms in the afternoon hour. Highs will be close to 90° Saturday afternoon, but may be a couple degrees cooler on Sunday due to more clouds and scattered storms. The low-end rain chance continues into the next work week, with highs holding steady near 90 with lows close to 70, which is the normal for this time of year.
