Was it ego, rage, a mental breakdown, WHY? - WAFF-TV: News, Weather and Sports for Huntsville, AL

Was it ego, rage, a mental breakdown, WHY?

(WAFF) -

Good Morning on this Thursday.

I have to be honest, I didn't get much sleep last night because my mind was just on our fellow colleagues in the news business who were gunned down on live TV yesterday. They would be getting out of bed the same time as myself & Trent as a morning news team. Instead of focusing on how they died, we're going to spend some time this morning looking back at how they lived on WAFF 48 News Today. However, psychologists are now trying to help us answer the 'Why' behind this tragedy.

In the valley, police still don't know what caused a man to fly into a church marquee with his car overnight. He's recovering in the hospital this morning but we'll show you the damage he left behind at 5:30 a.m.

Huntsville firefighters have a different kind of fight on their hands. One dealing with their pay and the fact that they feel they deserve more. You have to hear what the Mayor's answer is to this drama at 5:00 a.m. & 6:00 a.m.

You have to hear why McDonald's wants no part of Burger King's Peace Agreement to create an all new McBurger in 'What's Trending' at 5:26 a.m.

President Obama is headed to New Orleans ahead of the tenth anniversary of Hurricane Katrina. We'll tell you what he plans to do once he gets there at 5:30 a.m. & 6:30 a.m.

Our stretch of fantastic weather continues today but hear when it will feel like August again in David Ernst's weather on the 10s.
See you starting at 4:30 a.m.
