AT 10: Virginia station mourns shooting deaths of news crew

Good Wednesday evening.

We’re continuing to stay on top of the big story of the day. Police investigators say they’re still working to develop a concrete motive for a gunman who shot and killed two of his former TV co-workers who were live on the air this morning. Alison Parker and Adam Ward, who worked for the CBS affiliate in Roanoke, Virginia, were killed by Vester Flanagan. Flanagan later took his own life. Flanagan had been fired from the station.

This horrific incident has raised many questions. One of the top questions is how do you detect the warning signs of a person “on the edge.”  WAFF 48’s Vincent Crivelli spoke with a local psychologist to get his take on this tragedy.

And our Huntsville Area Crime Stoppers report focuses on a thief who stole a couple of thousand dollars from a woman’s purse in a local Walmart. She may have taken the money, but she left behind an extremely clear surveillance picture that’s sure to have her captured. See if you know her.

We’ll see you tonight at 10.
