HUNTSVILLE, AL (WAFF) -

Do you remember the old childhood saying "Finders keepers, losers weepers?"

Unfortunately some adults still live by that motto, including a wallet thief, who'll be doing some weeping, if you can help us find her in this week's Huntsville Area Crime Stoppers.

The thief is seen very clearly on surveillance camera leaving the Walmart on University Drive July 15.

The backstory is that a customer accidentally left her wallet on the counter when she was checking out.

When she came back, it was gone.

But later in the day, the wallet was returned. However, $2,000 dollars in cash was missing.

So this thief went shopping on someone else's dime, or to be precise, someone else's dollars.

She may have knowingly stolen the money, but she unknowingly posed for a very nice picture.

And the picture could put a few dollars in your wallet.

UPDATE: On Friday, Aug. 28, Huntsville police notified us they have identified the woman in this footage and are in the process of obtaining a warrant for her arrest. Thanks as always for your continued help!

David: Showers and storms ongoing across the Valley

    Saturday, March 25 2017 5:50 PM EDT2017-03-25 21:50:37 GMT

Showers and storms will be ongoing across the Valley this evening. The most widespread rain will be over northeastern AL, but additional scattered storms will track into the Shoals from the west. That round of stormy weather will head east with time and should be out of the Valley after midnight. The threat for severe storms is low, but a few strong storms are possible.
