WATCH WAFF: Manhunt underway near Moore's Mill Road; Late-night shooting sends 1 to hospital

Manhunt underway

Huntsville police are currently searching for a man near Moore's Mill Road. Multiple police units, including K-9s, are on the scene and actively searching for an unidentified man near Moore's Mill Road and Winchester Road. It is unknown at this time why they are searching for this person.

Shooting investigation

Huntsville police are investigating a shooting that sent one woman to the hospital. Police say that a woman was shot in the back around 11:30 Tuesday night on Beard Street in Huntsville. The woman was transported to Huntsville Hospital. Her condition is unknown at this time. Police say they believe the person who shot her was driving a green Ford Mustang.

Police investigate hit-and-run

A 25-year-old male pedestrian was involved in a hit-and-run Tuesday night. Officers say there is no positive ID on the vehicle or the driver. Officers did receive several different descriptions of the vehicle. The accident took place half a block in from Winchester Road and Blue Spring Road. The man was taken to the hospital with serious injuries.
