LOOK AHEAD: Less humidity, slightly cooler temps for Friday

(WAFF) -

Less humidity, cooler temps for Friday

It is slightly less humid this morning, and many of us are a couple degrees cooler than yesterday. The coolest spots will be across southern Tennessee, where temperatures are dipping into the mid-60s. Elsewhere, readings should stay closer to 70. We’ll see a mix of sun and clouds, but in general, I’d expect more cloud cover than sunshine this afternoon. Highs will top out in the mid-80s with isolated showers. The higher chance for rain will miss us to the south, across central AL. Skies should stay partly cloudy tonight as lows fall into the mid-60s.

We’ll be a little warmer for Saturday afternoon, and highs will be close to 90.  Isolated afternoon storms should develop, but there will be many that stay rain free throughout the day. The humidity will start to tick back up, so lows won’t be as cool heading into Sunday morning.  We’ll start the day around 70 with highs climbing to near 90° once again. Scattered afternoon storms are possible.
