LOOK AHEAD: Weak cold front ushering in scattered showers and storms

(WAFF) -

Weak cold front making its way across the Valley

A weak cold front will push through the Valley today. Skies will be mostly cloudy with scattered showers and storms through the first half of the day. There could also be pockets of fog through 9 a.m. especially in area valleys. As we head into the afternoon, winds will switch around to more of a northerly direction as the front passes.  Rain and storms should diminish, and the clouds may even begin to clear. Highs this afternoon will top out below normal in the lower and middle 80s.  Partly cloudy skies can be expected tonight as lows dip into the mid-60s.

Friday is shaping up to be a pleasant close to the work week. We’ll see a mix of sun and clouds with lower humidity. Highs should stay in the mid-80s. While most of us will stay dry, an isolated shower during the afternoon is still possible. Skies will be mainly clear Friday night and lows should drop into the low-to-mid-60s for Saturday.

We’ll start warming back up Saturday afternoon with highs near 90. Isolated storms are still possible, but Sunday looks like it will be the wetter of the two days this weekend. Scattered storms will develop then as highs push into the upper-80s. Another cold front heads for the Valley early next week.  It should bring with it another slight cool down as well as a drop in humidity.
