Saving one billion dollars?

(WAFF) -

One billion dollars!  One lawmaker from Hartselle says he can save Alabama that much money by getting rid of the Alabama Department of Education.
This is Trent Butler hoping your Tuesday is going well.  This morning, we'll tell you more about Ed Henry's plan and why other state leaders say Henry's plan would actually make Alabama's finances worse.
A North Alabama man is expected in court today to face accusations he killed a man in a wheelchair,
by beating him with a hammer.
Also, Donald Trump wasn't picked for jury duty yesterday.  So, what now?  We'll catch up with The Donald and the rest of the presidential candidates as they try to get your attention, and of course, your vote.
Make sure you pack the umbrella!  It's one of those weeks where rain is a constant companion for us.
Lauren Jones will have the stormy outlook in her forecast.  Make sure you join Lauren, Margo Gray and me for WAFF 48 News Today!
