(WAFF) - 1 man critical, 3 officers injured in Ferguson unrest
Unrest erupted through the streets in Ferguson, Mo., as this weekend marked one year after Mike Brown was shot and killed by a Ferguson police officer. One man remains in critical condition after opening fire on officers late Sunday night. Officials say that the man approached officers in an unmarked van and began opening fire. The officers then returned fire from inside of the van, critically wounding the man.
In addition, three officers total have been injured through the night's unrest in Ferguson. Police reports say that two officers were pepper sprayed by protesters and another officer was taken to the hospital after being hit in the face with a rock during the events of the night.
GOP presidential hopeful Cruz makes campaign stop in Huntsville
It was standing room-only as presidential hopeful Ted Cruz made a campaign stop in the Rocket City. Cruz painted himself as the only true candidate in the GOP and explained to the crowd why he thinks Alabama voters play a key role in winning his party's nomination. When asked about his fellow candidate Donald Trump, Cruz said he likes Trump and that he raises valid concerns regarding immigration.
