(WAFF) - The Tennessee Titans will travel to face the Atlanta Falcons for their first preseason game of the season, and it appears that quarterback Marcus Mariota continues to impress teammates through the first nine practices of Training Camp.
For whatever an interception count is worth at camp, through heading into Monday's work, Mariota has zero.
"You want that from your quarterback. I would rather him to go without a interception for the entire camp, if he can continue that throughout the season," said Titans defensive tackle Jurrell Casey said. "I'd rather see that than him throw a whole bunch of picks, and then gets to the season and does the same thing, so you want him to be as clean as possible throughout this camp. So when It's time for games, you know what to expect."
Mariota is a quiet leader, but has commanded respect in the huddle early on in camp.
"He's quiet, but you never want to make him someone's he's not," Titans wide receiver Harry Douglas said. "It's not more so that we're trying to get more out of him, we want to allow what Marcus does best, and I think our coaches do a great job of that."
The Titans practice Monday-Thursday this week, before preseason game number one against the Falcons in Atlanta.
