LOOK AHEAD: Humidity and temperatures climbing today

(WAFF) -

Temperatures and humidity both riding today

Humidity across the Valley is higher and as a result, it’s not as cool this morning. Most of us will start the day within a few degrees of 70. Scattered high clouds will continue passing by, but you should still see plenty of sun through that thin cloud cover. Temperatures will warm up quickly with midday readings into the lower 90s. Highs should top out in the mid-to-upper-90s this afternoon with heat indices just above 100. A stray shower may develop with the afternoon heat, but most will remain rain free. We’ll see a few clouds tonight, and lows should drop into the lower 70s.

Expect a mix of sun and clouds for your Wednesday. Temperatures will still warm up quickly, and highs should top out in the mid-90s. There’s a slightly higher chance for storms in the afternoon/evening, but even then, any activity that develops should remain isolated.
