LOOK AHEAD: Humidity making its return to the Valley

Humidity, slightly cooler temps return to the Valley

Skies are mainly clear this morning, although there could be a few foggy spots.  Like the weekend, we’re starting this morning with temperatures slightly cooler than normal with most of us in the low-to-mid 60s. With plenty of sunshine, we’ll warm up quickly today. Temperatures should be around 90° by noon with highs into the mid-90s. We’ll stay dry this afternoon with a heat index near 100. Look for a quiet evening with temperatures cooling through the 80s.

The humidity will be returning over the course of today and tonight.  As a result, temperatures Tuesday morning likely won’t be as cool as they are this morning. Most of us will start the day closer to 70. Tuesday will be a hot afternoon with highs into the mid-to-upper 90s and a heat index of 100-105. We should stay rain free, but a cold front will approach the Valley from the north. The front should stay to our north through the middle of the week. While it won’t drop through the Valley, it will be close enough to lead to more unsettled weather here and a higher chance for rain mid-to-late week.
