LOOK AHEAD: Slightly cooler temps, lower humidity through the weekend

(WAFF) -

No triple-digit weather today

Temperatures are noticeably cooler this morning with lower humidity. Many of us are starting the day at least five degrees cooler than yesterday. There may be a few foggy spots in the Valley this morning, but don’t expect to see as much of it as we did yesterday morning. We’ll warm through the 70s this morning and into the mid-to-upper 80s around noon with highs topping out close to 90, which is normal for this time of year. With the abnormally low humidity, the heat index will stay within a degree or two of the actual air temperature…so no triple digits today! Winds could still be breezy at times this afternoon, up to 15 mph out of the north.

Tonight should be the coolest we see over the upcoming week, dropping into the mid-60s with some of our sheltered valleys closer to 60 degrees. Skies will be mainly clear, but a few foggy spots could develop for Saturday morning. We’ll see plenty of sun Saturday with highs in the low-to-mid 90s. Once again, there won’t be much difference between the actual temperature and what it feels like. Sunday will be a little warmer with widespread mid-90s. Don't get too used to this weather, though: The humidity returns as we start the new work week.
