(WAFF) -

Teen arrested for robbery

Decatur police have arrested a juvenile for the robbery of a Dollar General that happened Monday night. Police say the 15-year-old Hispanic male was arrested at his home and charged with robbery. The teen was then transported to the Juvenile Detention Center in Tuscumbia. Police are continuing to search for the second suspect in the robbery who acted as a lookout for the teen. The robbery happened Monday night around 9:30 at the Dollar General on Danville Road in Decatur.

Prayer vigil held for teen killed in car wreck

Family and friends gathered Thursday night to remember a 14-year-old who was killed in a two-vehicle wreck. An emotional prayer service was held at Tanner High School tonight for LaShae Henderson. Close to 100 students came out to remember Henderson and pray for her family. Henderson would have been a freshman at Tanner this year. Henderson was killed in a two-car wreck on Mooresville Road Wednesday night. Extra counselors will be at Tanner High when school starts next week to help students and teachers cope with this tragedy.
