Decatur PD searching for 2 armed robbery suspects

Detectives with the Decatur Police Department said they're looking for two Hispanic men who robbed the Dollar General on Danville Road around 9:30 Monday night. Police say one man was carrying a large firearm and demanded money from the cashier while the other acted as a lookout. The men are considered to be armed and dangerous. If you have any information about the robbery or the men's identities or whereabouts, please contact Decatur Police Department.

Day 2 of Brett Russell trial

It's day two of Brett Russell's trial. Russell, a Huntsville police officer, is facing charges of use of excessive force and obstruction of justice, stemming from a 2011 arrest. Video footage shows Russell punching and kicking a suspect, who had been combative while being taken into custody. WAFF-48 will have a crew in the courtroom and will update on-air, online and on the mobile news app.
