We're tracking some breaking news from overnight for you this morning. Huntsville police tell us a 16 year old was shot in the leg at an apartment complex on Winchester Road and Meridian Street. We'll update you on the teen's condition, and where police are in the investigation, starting at 4:30.
And Decatur Police just sent us some shocking surveillance photos of a robbery at the Dollar General on Danville Road. Investigators are hoping you'll be able to ID the 2 men that stormed the store carrying guns last night. We'll have the pictures for you at 5:32.
We're also keeping an eye on a big move scheduled for later this morning. The ASPCA will be moving dozens of animals out of their temporary homes in Lawrence County to shelters around the country.
More than 200 dogs and cats found new homes in an adoption event over the weekend, but there were plenty left over. We're told all the cats were adopted, but a few dogs remain, and they'll start moving out around 9 this morning. Our Jack Madison will be there for that.
Did you see the moon early this morning? It looked a little hazy and red to me. I'm going to have to ask Meteorologist David Ernst about that one. He's busy in our weather center right now, checking out just how hot it's going to be in the Tennessee Valley today. He's got your forecast in your Weather on the Tens this morning.
We're about to hit the air in about 30 minutes. Hope you'll join us!
