LOOK AHEAD: Hot, rain-free weather for your Monday

(WAFF) -

Rain-free and hot weather for your Monday

Temperatures will start out in the low-to-mid-70s this morning. We’ll see a mix of sun and clouds into the afternoon, and temperatures will warm up quickly.  We should be into the lower 90s by midday, and highs will top out in the upper-90s. The heat index could get as high as 105. Like yesterday, some of us will see relief from the heat in the form of a pop-up shower or storm. Any storms that develop will be isolated, meaning a number of us will remain rain-free today. Any storms should end this evening, and we’re in store for a quiet night.

Tuesday looks to be another hot/muggy day with highs into the upper-90s. There’s also a low chance for a few afternoon storms. Our chance for storms goes up for the middle of the week as a cold front approaches from the west. Scattered storms can be expected Wednesday with highs in the mid-90s.
