MARSHALL COUNTY, AL (WAFF) -

One restaurant scored a perfect 100, while four restaurants in the Tennessee Valley received poor health scores during their health inspection.

The Marshall County Health Department handed the Tienda Almolonga Market in Boaz a 69. According to the inspection report, cooked pork and chicken was 25 degrees below the temperature required to prevent bacterial growth in hot-holding food. Cantaloupe was 29 degrees above the required cold-holding temperature, and watermelon was eight degrees too warm. The inspector also reports finding a chemical bottle stored over food, and a worker's partially eaten ice cream in a freezer next to food.

The Daylight Donuts on Danville Road in Decatur scored an 81. The inspector reports pigs in a blanket were 60 degrees below the required temperature. The inspector says they also spotted four personal drink cups in the food prep area.

Tin Roof Burgers in Madison scored an 84. They lost points because raw hamburger meat reportedly was nine degrees above the required temperature, and the inspector says they weren't reheating food to the temperature needed to prevent bacteria from forming.

The deli at Hometown Market in Hartselle scored an 82. The Morgan County Health Department reports potato wedges and gizzards were 35 degrees below the required hot-holding temperature and chicken was sixteen degrees off the mark.

Joe's World Famous Pizzeria in Athens made a big turnaround during their reinspection with a 91. The 20 point improvement over their previous inspection got Joe's off of the Limestone County Health Department's reinspection schedule and off the Kitchen Cops Low Performers list

The Subway at the Target Shopping Center on Highway 31 in Decatur is one of four High Performers that scored a 98. The others are the deli at the Walmart on Cloverdale Road in Florence, Taqueria El Cazador in Huntsville, and the Jack's in Meridianville.

Ten food businesses scored a 98 or above this week, making them Kitchen Cops High Performers. Pearl Viet & Hawaiian Subs mobile food unit in Huntsville is the only one to score a perfect 100

Sledge's Bar B Que in Florence is one of five that scored a 99. The other four are Southern BBQ in Muscle Shoals, The Subway at 414 Jordan Lane in Huntsville, B. H. W. Municipal Ice Complex in Huntsville, and the deli at the Walmart in Hazel Green 99
