AT 10: Mourning a child killed in 4-wheeler crash

Good Tuesday evening.

A community came together tonight to mourn the loss of a child. We’ll take you to a prayer vigil for 10-year old Thomas Brown, who was killed in an ATV accident over the weekend. That emotional gathering took place in front of Geraldine High School in DeKalb County.

Ladies - don’t be fooled by an apparent designer handbag. Huntsville police officers confiscated about 200 fake designer purses, wallets and other accessories. The items, including bogus Louis Vuitton and Michael Kors bags, were being sold by two women along Sparkman Drive. WAFF 48’s Vincent Crivelli will have more on this $10,000 haul by police.

And Governor Bentley has authorized members of the Alabama National Guard to be allowed to be armed. This comes in the wake of the deadly shooting spree at two military recruitment offices in Chattanooga. But Bentley is being careful not to release too many details of this new policy to further allow for the safety of those serving our state and our country. We’ll have more from Montgomery.

We hope you’ll join us tonight at 10.
