WATCH WAFF: Gov. Bentley to meet with National Guard leaders; Late-night robbery suspects still on the run

(WAFF) -

Gov. Bentley plans to arm National Guardsmen

Governor Bentley will meet with National Guard leaders this morning to put a plan in place to arm National Guardsmen. The politics behind what to do with guns will likely continue in the coming months but Gov. Bentley says "no one can actually handle weapons better than our military can." The governor says the plan will be a secret and it's not something they'll tell the public.

Robbery suspects still on the run

Madison County deputies are still on the hunt for two armed men who robbed a convenience store on Nick Davis Road. Investigators tell us the men got away with some money but no one was hurt. Deputies used K-9s on the scene in hopes of tracking them down, but so far, no luck.
