(WAFF) - Heat advisory in effect until 7 p.m.
A heat advisory is once again in effect across the Valley until 7 p.m. Monday for dangerous heat index values of 105-100° this afternoon. Be sure to stay hydrated and try to limit prolonged exposure in direct sunlight. If you must work outdoors, take frequent breaks in the shade or air conditioning.
Most are starting the morning in the mid-70s, and temperatures will heat up quickly into the lower/middle-90s by lunchtime, and highs should top out in the upper 90s once again. As we heat up this afternoon, isolated storms will develop. Some will be cooled off by those storms, but most of us should stay rain-free today. Any rain ends this evening, and quiet conditions can be expected overnight with lows in the mid-70s.
