Governor says arm National Guard

(WAFF) -

Good morning!  Trent Butler here.  You'll be walking into a sauna once again this morning.  David Ernst will be along to let us know when we might see some relief.

Many people are talking about Donald Trump again.  The Republican presidential candidate refuses to apologize to Senator John McCain after saying the former POW is not a war hero.

Governor Bentley is also making news in the wake of
last week's deadly shooting in Chattanooga.
The Governor is calling for National Guardsmen to be armed so they can safely protect themselves and Alabama citizens.

On a lighter note, have you ever seen a caviar coated Twinkie?  You will if you join us this morning!  We hope you can join Margo, David and me as we kick off another week of WAFF 48 News Today!
