Storm fatality reported in Cullman County

CULLMAN COUNTY, AL (WAFF) -

The National Weather Service reported one fatality during Tuesday night's storms.

According to NWS officials, a man was killed after a tree fell on top of him.

The fatality happened in Cullman County along County Road 1135.

The Cullman County Sheriff's Office identified the victim as 59-year-old Randy Blackwood.

Blackwood's death is the only one reported in North Alabama as a result of Tuesday's storms, which caused heavy damage and power outages throughout the rest of the region.
