HOOVER, AL (WAFF) -

The 2015 edition of SEC Media Days are off and running. The Auburn Tigers headlined Day 1 in Hoover.

Head Coach Gus Malzahn was joined by quarterback Jeremy Johnson, Linebacker Kris Frost and Corner Jonathan Jones.

There were two big topics following the Tigers around Monday afternoon - How good can Jeremy Johnson be as Auburn's starting quarterback; and can the defense improve under new defensive coordinator Will Muschamp.

So what did we learn from day one? The Tigers have a new motto for 2015, "Count on Me." It is the new call for players to take ownership and being held accountable for play on and off the field this fall.

Gus Malzahn said the new motto means coaches will be able to count on players and players will be able to count on coaches.

"They really have bought into it and done a very good job of that motto so far," Malzahn said Monday.

"How hard you work in everything, every aspect of your life," added senior linebacker Kris Frost. "It really propels you forward and allows you to do a lot of different stuff."

As for How good Johnson and the new defense will be, were just going to have to wait till fall.
