Good Wednesday evening.
The U.S. Army is set to reduce its number of soldiers and civilian employees across the country. That obviously has the folks at Redstone Arsenal sitting on pins and needles as the announcement is scheduled for tomorrow at noon. We'll hear from Huntsville Mayor Tommy Battle on why he believes our area won't be affected as much as others.
We're also continuing to follow the closing of the Lawrence County Animal Shelter, with the American Society for the Prevention of Cruelty to Animals, or ASPCA, taking over and moving the animals to an undisclosed location. WAFF 48's Vincent Crivelli will have more on how pet owners can be re-united with their animals if they were at that shelter.
And a murder mystery 5 years in the making. You could very well hold the key to solving this case. And if you do, you'll be making a hefty deposit into your bank account. More in tonight's Huntsville Area Crime Stoppers report.
We'll see you at 10.
