We've made it half way through the year!

(WAFF) -

Wow, July already! Did you know today is literally the half way point through the year. We're 182 days into 2015, how are those New Year's resolutions coming?

We have a lot going on this Hump Day, one north Alabama county is holding out on issuing marriage licenses to same-sex couples. Hear the loophole they found to try and get around the Supreme Court's ruling at 5:30 & 6:30 on WAFF 48 News Today.

Because it's the 1st of the month, two new laws go into effect today. Muriel Bailey will break those down each half hour especially the one about stolen valor.

Today is also a big day for U.S.-Cuban relation with embassies closed for more than half a century reopening.

Ohhh, let's not forget stripping for doughnuts. Yup, that's what one inmate claims she did to eat in jail. It happened to be caught on camera. See it for yourself at 5:37. By the way, you know someone got arrested for this.

Hey, if you're up go outside and look up before the sun comes up, the moon has a different color to it. Meteorologist David Ernst will explain.

Alright guys, see in a bit. I hope you have a great Wednesday!!
