HUNTSVILLE, AL (WAFF) -

The phrase "computer crime" can mean many different things, from hacking into data to transmitting pornography.

But the crime we focus on this week is not quite as complex, yet still plenty costly.

This crime happened at the Player's Club on Governor's Drive in Huntsville April 6.

Our "player" here entered the building by pushing in a window unit air conditioner. Once he got inside the building, our burglar kicked in the office door, stealing a laptop computer from the office.

And this burglar appeared to be a little cocky. Police tell us he then walked around the club for about 30 minutes, even grabbing a beer from the cooler.

He may be playing it cool, but you can turn up the heat on him if you know who he is. You can also add some stacks of cash to your bank account.

There's up to $1,000 in reward money waiting for you if you can help us arrest him. Just make the anonymous call to 256-53-Crime. Or text or e-mail those anonymous tips.

David: Showers and storms ongoing across the Valley

    Saturday, March 25 2017 5:50 PM EDT2017-03-25 21:50:37 GMT

Showers and storms will be ongoing across the Valley this evening. The most widespread rain will be over northeastern AL, but additional scattered storms will track into the Shoals from the west. That round of stormy weather will head east with time and should be out of the Valley after midnight. The threat for severe storms is low, but a few strong storms are possible.
