Watch on WAFF: Man in custody after incident in DeKalb County. Oakwood Ave. back open after late night wreck.

HUNTSVILLE, AL (WAFF) -

Investigators actively searching for answers after incident in DeKalb County.

A man is in custody and is answering questions from deputies after an incident in the Shiloh community, just outside of Fyffe in DeKalb County.

Investigators aren't releasing much information at this time, but they say they took an armed man into custody shortly before 2 a.m. on Main Street.

1 transported to hospital in serious condition after wreck on Oakwood Ave.

One person was transported to Huntsville Hospital in serious condition after a wreck near the intersection of Oakwood Avenue and Jordan Lane. Crews on the scene said the wreck involved a car and a motorcycle. The driver of the motorcycle is suffering life threatening injuries.

Part of Oakwood Avenue was shut down near Jordan Lane so officers can clean up the scene but is now back open.

It is unknown what caused the wreck at this time.

As soon as we have more information, we will pass it along.

Authorities: Evidence of fugitives found in Upstate NY cabin.

A confirmed lead may be a break in the search for two escaped prison inmates. Authorities believe they're getting much closer to capturing the two fugitives.

"The noose is starting to tighten," Franklin County, NY, Sheriff Keven Mulverhill said. "I think these are the best leads that we've had since the escape."

A burglarized cabin was found in Upstate New York near the rural community of Mountain View. Inside, a law enforcement source said teams found DNA matching that of Richard Matt and David Sweat.

"It's a confirmed lead for us," New York State Police Maj. Charles Guess said. "It has generated a massive law enforcement response, as you can see, and we're going to run this to ground."

It's a confirmed lead where there have been few in the more than two-week-long search.
