Look Ahead: Crews investigate cause of early morning fires. Officials search for man responsible for Decatur hit and run.

HUNTSVILLE, AL (WAFF) - Good morning! Here are some things to keep your eye on during the day:

Fire destroys home in Paint Rock, crews investigate

Thursday, investigators are working to find out what caused a home in Paint Rock to go up in flames.The house was engulfed shortly after 11 p.m. Wednesday night.

Gurley Fire Department and Paint Rock Volunteer Fire Department responded. The house is in Paint Rock on the corner of Williamson Street and Highway 72, just down the road from the Post office.

Neighbors said the woman who lives at the home was not there at the time of the fire.Fire investigators said that the home was destroyed. No injuries were reported.

Home is a total loss in Somerville blaze

Authorities say that the house was vacant at the time of the blaze

Thursday morning, investigators will search for answers to what caused the fire.

Priceville and Somerville Fire Departments responded to the scene.

Investigators search for suspect in hit and run

Thursday morning, authorities are searching for a man responsible for slamming his car into another man three times.Officers responded to Wayne Farms, located off of Plug Road in Decatur, for reports of a hit-and-run.

Police say that a male a co-worker and a female co-worker were leaving after work at Wayne Farms in the same car. The woman's husband was waiting outside when he saw them leave together.

The woman's husband chased down the car, that's when the male co-worker got out to confront the woman's husband.

The woman's husband then ran over the man three times before speeding off.

Police are searching for the woman's husband that is on the run at this time.

The man suffers from non life-threatening injuries.

The investigation is ongoing.
