The University of Alabama in Huntsville women's lacrosse head coach Gail Wallach announced five additional signees on Tuesday to lead the team into its inaugural season in 2016. "We are so excited to bring in such a talented and well-rounded group to begin UAH lacrosse history," 

Coach Wallach said of the signees.The Chargers will compete at Charger Park, an immaculate on-campus facility that also houses the University's men's and women's soccer programs along with baseball and softball. UAH joins the current 85 institutions that sponsor women's lacrosse. "This group of five is extremely versatile and can play multiple positions," Wallach continued. 

"They have a great mix of speed, strength, and scoring ability, which without a doubt will contribute in our inaugural season. Not only are they talented student-athletes, but they are individuals with tremendous work ethic and high academic standing," Wallach said of Tuesday's signees."They will begin the tradition of Charger excellence both on and off the field and we look forward to their immediate impact from the moment they arrive on campus," 

Wallach concluded.Wallach comes to UAH after most recently serving as the head coach at Emmanuel College in Franklin Spring, Georgia, where she mentored one All-American and four all-conference honorees. She has also made stops in her career as head women's basketball coach at Rutgers-Camden, Drew and Washington College.
