Good morning! Here are some things to keep your eye on during the day:

First court appearance for man who confessed to killing mother over grades.

Happening today in Dekalb County, the man who police say confessed to killing his mother will make his first court appearance.

Tyler Blansit is being held without a bond. Today, we expect the judge to set one. Blansit is charged with the murder of his mom Sherry Blansit.

Investigators say he beat his mother to death Friday. Her body was found behind her home in Mentone.

Investigators say he confessed to hitting his mother in the head after an argument over his grades at UAB.

Former Guntersville soccer coach charged with child porn to be arraigned today

A former Guntersville high school soccer coach who faces several counts of child pornography charges is set to appear in court.

David Barrow is expected to be arraigned Tuesday. A Marshall County grand jury handed down a 27 count indictment against him in March.

It includes more than two-dozen counts of child pornography.

There's plenty of low cloud cover around, but there will still be breaks in the clouds allowing for some sunshine.

That will remain the case into the afternoon, although I do expect more sunshine this afternoon compared to this morning

It's a slightly cooler morning with widespread lower 60s. It won't be as muggy this afternoon, and highs should top out around 80. Winds should be less than 10 mph out of the north. Most of us will stay dry this afternoon. There's only a slight chance for a storm, mainly east of I-65 this afternoon.

Have a great day!
