Look Ahead: Police investigate shooting in Huntsville, suspects - WAFF-TV: News, Weather and Sports for Huntsville, AL

Look Ahead: Police investigate shooting in Huntsville, suspects still at large. Possible strong storms to develop into the afternoon.

HUNTSVILLE, AL (WAFF) - Good morning! Here are some things to keep your eye on during the day:

Police search for suspect as shooting investigation continues.

Huntsville police are looking for two men after another man was shot. Police said that the man was shot at a home on Shady Lane Circle at around 10:30 Tuesday night. Police also tell us that the man that was shot is in critical condition. It is understood that both of the men that police are searching for were wearing dark clothes and masks.

As more information becomes available, we will pass it along. Tune in to WAFF News at Noon for more details.

Will it stay or will it go: Huntsville's only abortion clinic.

Huntsville's only abortion clinic could get shut down if a bill makes it through the state senate today.

Yesterday, the House voted to prohibit abortion clinics within 2-thousand feet of a public school.

The bill was introduced after the Alabama Women's Center for Reproductive Alternatives in Huntsville moved near the former Ed White Middle School on Sparkman drive.

The clinic moved from it's long time spot in downtown Huntsville to comply with a 2013 law that set new building code requirements.

More hit-or-miss storms will develop into the afternoon.

The threat for severe remains low, but a few stronger storms aren't out of the question. Heavy rain and damaging wind gusts would be the main threats with any storms.

Any rain will diminish tonight, and we'll be left with partly cloudy skies overnight. Lows will drop into the mid/upper 60s with the humidity continuing.

Have a great day everyone and stay safe!

According to our news gathering partners at the Decatur Daily, much of the  Decatur City Schools' student body will start the 2018-19 school year in a new location. The district has embarked on the largest building expansion in its history, at a cost of about $100 million.  This unprecedented move will impact nearly half of all students in the district and every student in grades 9-12, a mobilization of students that has not seen since integration in the 1960s.  Deca...More >>
