The American Baseball Coaches Association/Rawlings released its 2015 All-Americans, and the University of Alabama in Huntsville baseball program was represented by Third Team selection Chandler Brock.A native of Athens, Alabama, Brock led the Chargers with a .402 batting average and 49 RBI, while recording career-highs with 10 home runs and a .649 slugging percentage.
The outfielder ranked in the top 10 in the GSC in batting average, runs (48), homers, RBI, total bases (113), slugging percentage, on-base percentage (.479) and stolen bases (19). He was also ranked in the top 100 in NCAA Division-II in batting average, home runs, RBI and steals. Brock – a four-year starter and 2013 GSC Player of the Year –will finish his career in the Blue and White as one of the most storied players in program history, as he ranks in the top five in team lore in games played, at-bats, hits, runs, RBI, doubles, steals, and total bases.
The Chargers ended the season with a 36-11-1 overall record and a 21-9-1 mark in league games, which gives the squad at least 30 wins in each of the past four seasons under head coach Hunter Royer.
