2 in hospital and 1 dead after stabbing incident in Huntsville.

Today we are working to find out the condition of the brother that was stabbed last night in Huntsville, as well as, the names of all of those involved. Officers said that one brother stabbed the other, and when the brother that was stabbed went to a neighbor for help, the other brother stabbed the neighbor.

Huntsville police were called to a small apartment complex just before 10 p.m. Two people were injured with knife wounds; a third person was shot.

Officials said the person who was shot was also responsible for the knife attack. When two police officers arrived to the scene, they saw the man coming down the stairs with a knife in his hand.

"He was yelling at the officers, charging at the officers. The officers yelled back demanding that he drop the knife." said Lt. Darryl Lawson with the Huntsville Police Department. "He continued to charge at the officers, the officers were forced to shoot him."

The case is being investigated as an officer-involved shooting.

All three injured people were transferred to Huntsville Hospital. Police say that the person that was shot has died and the neighbor is suffering from life threatening injuries.
