Breaking News: Man hit and killed by train in Huntsville

We're on top of breaking news this morning in the WAFF 48 Newsroom.

One man is dead after being hit by a train in Huntsville. His body was found just north of the Oakwood and Davidson railroad crossing around 1:45 am. As of 3:15 am, Oakwood Avenue is the only road that is blocked. Investigators are still working the scene and don't know when they'll be able to move the train and open the road. We'll be live there all morning and let you know as soon as things are cleared up.

Turning to our west, where severe weather rocked Texas and Oklahoma overnight. 3 people are confirmed dead this morning, one of them a firefighter who was trying to help people get out of their homes before he was swept away by flood waters. We'll have the devastating video and pictures that are just coming in this morning starting at 5:01.
