Good Thursday evening.
We have new information on a murder spree in Decatur that killed two men. WAFF's Sarah Navoy went digging for details and found that a stolen cell phone helped crack this case wide open. A woman who's phone was stolen discovered the picture of one of the 4 suspects. It turns out that picture helped investigators track down that suspect, which led to the 3 others. We'll tell you why it's important to store the data on your phone.
The autopsy results are back and the body that was found in the Langston Community of Marshall County are in fact those of a missing 15-year-old. Jason Richards was last seen at the Zaxby's in Guntersville in February. Officials tell us they do have a couple of “persons of interest” in the case.
And we're also exploring a possible to the gun laws in Alabama. There's a bill making it's way through the State Legislature that would allow you to carry loaded weapons in your vehicle without a concealed carry permit. WAFF's Tiani Jones spoke with the president of Huntsville's Fraternal Order of Police about this possibility.
We hope you'll join us at 10.
