(WAFF) - Where should you live in America if you're a woman? Minnesota is the answer, according to a study
The Washington Post
put out from the Institute for Women's Policy Research.
Each state received grades on seven broad topics touching on virtually all aspects of the public and private lives of women. The topics include political participation, work-family balance, reproductive rights, and health and well-being.
The best state for political participation is New Hampshire while the best place to have a balance between work and family as a woman is New York.
The state that takes the trophy for overall reproductive rights is Oregon. The best place a woman can achieve ultimate health and well-being mentally and physically is Minnesota.
The study also touches on work conditions, with Maryland being the best state for employment and earnings, and violence and safety.
