UNA Golfer tied for 21st at NCAA D-2 Golf Tournament
KNIGHT TIED FOR 21ST AT NCAA GOLF CHAMPIONSHIPS
CONOVER, N.C. -- University of North Alabama sophomore Forrest Knight of Clanton, Ala., is tied for 21st individually after the first round of the 2015 NCAA Division II Golf Championships at the Rock Barn Golf & Spa.
Knight shot an even par 72 in the opening round Monday and is one of just 28 golfers in the field of 108 to shoot even par or under. The tournament leader, Sam Migdal of Central Missouri, stands at five under and holds a two stroke lead entering Tuesday's second round. Stroke play will then conclude on Wednesday.
Knight previously tied for eighth individually at the South/Southeast Super Regional to earn a spot in the national championship tournament.
