Good Monday evening.
A weekend of violence in Decatur is leading to some questions concerning Austin High School. Three teenagers and one adult are all charged with 4 counts of robbery and one count of murder. Two of the young men are students at Austin. WAFF 48's Lauren Bale went in search of the reaction from the school to the arrests. We'll hear from the Decatur School System's Operations and Safety Manager to see what further steps might need to be taken with the school.
We're also keeping close tabs on the continuing budget battle going on in Montgomery. With only 8 days left in this legislative session, Governor Bentley is promising a special session if his tax increase isn't passed. The House will take up debate on Senator Del Marsh's lottery infused alternative, which the Governor is threatening to veto. Tiani Jones will have the latest.
And this week's list of Huntsville Area Crime Stoppers "Valley's Wanted" includes one person we've reported on recently for interfering with custody." It's your chance to help police with putting these folks in custody - with one simple phone call.
We hope you'll join us at 10.
