Look Ahead: Lawmakers meet today to talk about lottery and gambling in AL. Officials investigating reason behind deadly Amtrak crash.

Good morning! Here are some things to keep your eye on during the day!

Senate meeting scheduled to discuss bill to allow lottery and gambling in Alabama.

Thursday Alabama's senate committee is scheduled to tackle a bill that would allow gambling and lottery in the state.

Thursday's talks could result in a vote or just more discussion.

Tuesday, the senate committee discussed the bill but didn't vote on it because Senator Del Marsh said after hearing the arguments he wanted to make some changes to the bill first.

Amtrak train in deadly wreck was speeding, but why?

Federal investigators have determined that an Amtrak train that crashed in Philadelphia, killing at least seven people, was careening through the city at 106 mph before it ran off the rails along a sharp curve where the speed limit drops to just 50 mph, yet they still don't know why it was going so fast.

Nepal has been overwhelmed by its second massive earthquake in less than three weeks, its prime minister said Thursday as he visited this normally placid foothills town, now a center for frightened villagers desperate for government help. 

Thousands of people now crowd the streets of Charikot, the administrative center of the isolated district hit hardest by Tuesday's magnitude-7.3 quake, which killed at least 96 people and injured more than 2,300. The magnitude-7.8 earthquake that hit April 25 killed more than 8,150 people, injured tens of thousands more and left hundreds of thousands homeless.
