A state senate committee is scheduled to tackle the ideas head-on in Montgomery.

Today's talks could result in a vote, or just more discussion.

Tuesday, the senate committee discussed the bill but didn't vote on it because Senator Del Marsh said after hearing the arguments he wanted to make some changes to the bill first.

In that first introduction, He said the bill would only allow gaming at the four existing racetrack facilities, making a point that the bill does not allow for expansion.

Critics say those limitations leave out facilities that have potential to be a gaming facility.

Muriel Bailey has more on air right now.

It's another cool start to the morning, but it will be a warm afternoon.

The humidity will return as high clouds stream in from the southwest.

Temperatures will be near 80° by noon and highs should top out in the mid 80s. A few isolated showers may develop this afternoon, but most of us stay dry.
